03. Cherub, Seraph, & Throne

Throughout history artists have depicted beautiful angels with long flowing hair wearing white robes. I was inspired after learning how different types of Angels are described in the Bible and realized they actually sound borderline terrifying! In the following 3-piece series I wanted to imagine these Angels literally as they are described in the Bible - Cherub, Seraph, and Throne.

Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
— Isaiah 6:2
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings.
— Revelation 4:8
They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went. Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
— Ezekiel 1:15-18
Their form was human, but each of them had four faces and four wings. Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. Each had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.
— Ezekiel 1:5-10
